Salary: $18.95 hourly 40 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Woodham, ON
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, own vehicle, valid driver’s licence, and drive manual transmission vehicle
Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer, Staff accommodation available, Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Asset languages: Spanish, Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Cattle breeding
Equipment and machinery experience: Milking system (automated), storage and silage system, tractor, farm truck, forage equipment, haying equipment, loader, manure spreader, and tillage equipment
Automated systems experience: Manure handling and storage 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have experience in corn farming, hay farming, livestock combination farming, and other grain farming
• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, in dusty, hot, noisy, and odorous conditions, as well as in wet or damp, cold or refrigerated environments
• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and demonstrate attention to detail.
• The candidates should also have good hand-eye coordination, be willing to work overtime when required, and have the ability to distinguish between colors, while being able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be organized and demonstrate flexibility
• The candidates should be a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor the calving process, and monitor animal health
• The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and milk cows
• The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
